About Us G2 Associates, Inc. was incorporated in 1985 with the express intention of honing the talents of several disciplines and personnel in the fields of engineering, surveying and mapping and their applications within the geotechnical profession. John Gray is a 35-year veteran in the geological disciplines and maintains various licenses in Alaska (Professional Geologist), Washington (Licensed Geologist), Idaho (Registered Geologist), Oregon (Registered Geologist and Certified Engineering Geologist) and Arizona (Registered Professional Geologist). He also is a 25+ year member of the American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG) based out of Colorado, and currently serves as the Oregon Chapter President. Other affiliations include the National Ground Water Association, and the Geological Society of America. Although John has worked as far east as Sebree, Kentucky, the firm's general market today ranges from the Pacific coast through Idaho, and from the Canadian border southward to northern California. We partner with engineers, architects, structural designers, developers, homeowners, schools and churches in their new developments; and perhaps a hundred other categories of clientele. Due to the long standing level of professional experience, we are actively sought for services in the categories of soils evaluation, deep excavation and drilling of soils and rock, to assess groundwater ramifications on site stability, and to investigate ground to determine existing structure stability issues.
